      Lead Engineer Interview

      19 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Woburn, MA
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at STR (Woburn, MA) in Nov 2019

      Interview

I had a phone screening and then an onsite interview about a month and a half later. Overall the process took a very long time >3mo from initial contact; I was told by the recruiter to expect this, but If I had been looking for other jobs at the time it would have been a problem. The interview consisted of 1:1 conversations with 4-5 engineers and managers over ~ a 4 hr period. All seemed friendly and highly competent. Asked many questions about the projects I have worked on and what kinds of problems I have solved, some specific technical questions and technical conversations. Seems like a great organization with interesting problems and a nice environment; unfortunately we were not able to come to agreeable terms in the offer.
