I originally applied for this role back in October 2025, when it was posted as a position running through December. I spoke with the recruiter and was told I'd be a great fit, and that they would submit me to the client for an interview.
I never heard from them again.
Fast forward to April 2026, and I see the same role posted again. I apply and reach out to the same recruiter from before. This time I get a call, and I'm told that last time I had simply applied too late, since they'd already chosen someone (it still would have been nice to be told that back then, instead of being left hanging). But since I applied early this round, they assured me they'd get me right over to the client for an interview.
A few days pass. Nothing.
I email the recruiter for an update and get a call back the next day. She tells me they've already interviewed two local candidates and decided to move forward with them, despite the role being listed as remote. Once again, I never even got an interview, and once again, I was left disappointed by the runaround.
Then a week later, the role is reposted on the STAND8 website. It's still live as of June 19th. If the position has already been filled, why is it still accepting applications? I emailed the recruiter again to ask if the role is still open and whether I'm still being considered. It's been a week, and no response.
This company seems to have a habit of ghosting candidates for no good reason.
