I was contacted on Linkedin and the interview took place after about 7 days. Very friendly atmosphere, questions about background and professional aspirations, then questions on algebra, financial products, options, greeks, Interest Rate Parity. Very long interview but the interviewer was comfortable. Received the feedback the following day.

Quickly set up interview with hiring manager during phone screening without hiring manager’s approval. Probably hiring manager has already selected internal candidate that was familiar with their softwares and platforms and needed to go through process to interview some external candidates. It’s common policy but it did waste everyone’s time.
