Applied via Indeed. The process took two weeks. Firstly, completed a brief phone screening with recruiter assessing about qualifications and interest in company. Secondly, completed a virtual “first interview” with a manager. The first interview definitely was a more positive experience from the second but I believe that was , solely, because of who interviewed me and I will appreciate her for it. I was invited for a “second interview” which included more upper management. Questions in both interviews mainly centred around your past experience, challenges that you experienced, why were you drawn to this position etc. Objectively speaking, my answers to the questions may not have been what they were seeking for which I understand. However, you can definitely sense whether they like and/or interested in you or not by the way they behave and talk towards you which tells a lot about the environment in my opinion. When asked questions regarding orientation program, their annual plan, and their experience in the organization, their answers were vague and at times dismissive. I asked about mental health supports (as it’s a major issue with employee performance and workplace retention) and I was met with blank stares! Despite whether they’ve made up their mind on whether they were interested in my candidacy or not, the way they approached that part of the interview gave me the impression that they wanted to speed through the conversation to end the interview or worse, they’re unprepared to answer the basic questions I had and promote the position and company to me. I hope those who interview with this company have a better experience and the professionalism demonstrated to me was on the basis of my interview (whether you believe that’s the right attitude is up to debate. For me, it wasn’t).
