      Customer Service Representative Interview

      8 Jan 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tempe, AZ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SRP (Tempe, AZ) in Nov 2023

      Interview

A short phone interview, and then a 'Fast Track Interview' where you go around tables with 1 or 2 supervisors. It is nerve-wracking to say the least. The time pressure gets to interviewees and if you are an anxiety prone person don't apply for them for the sake of your mental health. It is an extremely long process, they interview more people than they have to just to be safe, which doesn't shows consideration for candidate's time, instead they should narrow down the list if they know what they are looking for from the very beginning. I don't know if they read this, but I hope they can take feedback. You get 1 minute for each question, and you have to fill in or fit in your answer in that 1 minute, which is a process that does not works, seems disingenuous, because they ask behavioral questions that may require a lengthy response, sometimes they even asked 3 questions in one, as in "Tell me what happened, how did you solve, and what was the impact" (Yet they still expect a 1 minute answer with perfect eloquence from your part) or they also ask Yes or No questions which can be responded in 3 seconds, again, it seems disingenuous and unreasonable from their part. I need to comment on the rudeness of one of the interviewers that was chewing gum and acting like he hated being there. If this is a supervisor, as they told us all the interviewers were, how is that leadership, because he didn't even say hello, had the most disinterested look in his face. A position of leadership for customer service and the person doesn't even shows manners to the interviewees who can potentially be under his leadership, thankfully there was another gentleman sat next to him, who was educated enough, he was the one who asked the questions, while the other just stared there while loudly chewing his gum.
