      Compositor Interview

      30 Jan 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Orland Park, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SONNY+ASH (Orland Park, IL) in Jan 2017

      Interview

A typical of mom pop companies is the evident penny pinching of one of the owners during the interview. He seemed disgusted that he HAD to fill the compositing position do to demand of it in industry. I guess he didn't want to part with his cash income. They seemed disorganized and did more probing for pipeline solutions by asking me workflows for VR. Very quickly I realized if they could just get a Pipeline out of me for green screen and VR then they wouldn't need to hire me. This is exactly what they did. Taking notes on how I would approach the situation then having the nerve to ask me to show them how to do it in Nuke. Sorry folks that's called labor. Dishonest, untrustworthy, and shady.
