I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Calgary, AB) in Jun 2011
Interview
Met recruiter at a university career fair. Gave her my resume and chatted. Went to their info session that night and spoke with her again. Got a call for an interview a few weeks later. Prior to interview got a topic (one of Schlumberger's divisions) that i had to make a presentation on with another candidate prior to interview day.
First day we did the presentations and a bunch of 'team building' style activities. went until about 1am. lots of info about company and the type of positions we could have.
second day was very long as well...probably went until midnight.
overall the presentations/activities were not difficult, and most of it was taking in info about Schlumberger. HR and recruiters were friendly and did not grill you.
Got an offer a little while later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The typical behavioral stuff. If you do a good job answering these they are not going to dig deep. as well at the intervew they make you do a survey of what section of the company you want to work in (offshore, mwd, wireline, ect.) its good to have an idea because esentially you are deciding your career path right there.
