Interviewed with Silvus for over two months for a Sales Admin I role and had an extremely disappointing experience.
I was verbally told I got the job, told the team was excited to have me, had compensation discussed with me, and was given a June 15 start date. I was also told the written offer was coming within days, then later told it would be sent on Tuesday or Wednesday after I returned from an international trip. One of my references was even told the team was looking forward to me joining.
Based on those repeated assurances, I gave notice to my current employer.
After all of that, I received a generic email at 8:00 p.m. saying the company had decided to move forward with other candidates whose experience more closely matched the role.
Companies can change direction, but this process was handled in a way that felt deeply misleading and highly unprofessional. If a decision is not final, candidates should not be told they got the job, given a start date, and led to rely on that information.
I’m sharing this because candidates deserve clear, honest communication and better treatment than this.
