Interview
The interview itself was fairly straightforward and pleasant. The questions were exactly what you would expect for a research position (recent research projects, technical skills, etc). My overall experience was negative due to the fact I never received a follow up after the interview, not even a rejection, six months after my interview.
When I had previously applied for a position with SEIU 775 and didn't even receive an interview, I was at least informed I wasn't moved forward. In this case, I was never contacted again after my interview. I accepted another offer soon after and thus didn’t follow up myself, but never following up with an interview applicant appears extremely unprofessional.

Interview
very welcoming experience, the overall interview was not very difficult, a lot of behavioral questions. The department head was very nice and understanding about new grads. The HR was also very respectful and timely.
