      Chemical Operator Interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SAFC

      Interview

After a phone interview with the Manufacturing Department manager, I was invited to the facility for a site tour and formal interview. The morning started with a one on one interview with the Manufacturing Department manager followed by a site tour with the same individual. After the tour, we ate a catered lunch with Manufacturing Department supervisors and a few chemists in a conference room. We spoke socially and it was not an interview type setting or feeling. After lunch, I remained in the conference room and was interviewed by a pair of manufacturing chemists that I had eaten lunch with. After the group interview, I wrapped up my afternoon doing one on one interviews with each of the supervisors. My day ended with a final discussion with the manufacturing manager. All of the interviews through out the day were very similar. It was more about the interviewer getting a feel for my personality and if I would be a good fit in the group. There were not many questions related to the job functions, but rather about my schooling, interests, personality traits.

      Question 1

The questions that were asked were not difficult. They were meant to see how you react to different situations and how you work with other people.
