      Human Resources Administrator Interview

      26 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Forest Row, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rydon Group (Forest Row, England) in Feb 2020

      Interview

I applied through Indeed and a week later received a phone call. During the phone call I was asked typical screening questions i.e. reason for looking, key skills and why I applied, and they informed me about why the role was available, typical responsibilities and about the company. I was told I would hear back the following week with news on next steps. I chased them the following week and was told the Hiring Manager had not yet reviewed my application. After 2 weeks I was invited for a face-to-face interview. The interview followed a competency model and the two people interviewing me asked structured questions. It lasted over an hour. They invited a third person along. The next day they called to say it had gone well and the next stage would be an Excel test. However, it's been 3 weeks and despite chasing them I have not heard back and I feel quite disheartened as I thought it had gone well and would have liked feedback either way. I have asked for feedback twice and always think companies should provide it if you have taken the time to prepare, interview etc for them. My advice to them would be to always take the time to feedback to candidates as it is disappointing for them to not know why they haven't got the job and it looks like the company has a disorganised and unsupportive culture if not willing to respond to candidates. I'd also suggest offering candidates a map of the H/Q as Rydon has 3 different buildings and it was quite confusing to someone who had never visited it before.
