I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ryan International Airlines (Rockford, IL) in Jul 2009
Interview
The interview process is initiated by an informational session, presumably for all applicants that respond to a Careerbuilder resume submission and are able to attend a hotel presentation in Rockford, IL. The presentation lasts several hours with an intermission. The topics discussed are pretty honest with regard to low pay, flexibility required and extended time away from home. Work conditions, pay and training (unpaid for four weeks) are all discussed at great length and current flight attendants give their day-to-day portrayals. Afterwards, all candidates still interested are invited to same day/next day one-on-one interviews. These interviews are conducted with one or two current flight attendants (usually instructors or pursers). The questions run the gamut of scenarios involving stress under difficult situations and addressing customer service needs. Thereafter, candidates are typically sent away with the promise of follow-up, unless they really, really like you. In the former instance, you can expect to come back for further interviewing with HR officials or get a "thanks, but no thanks" notice/call; for the latter, you will likely be accelerated through the aforementioned process the same day, including possible final interviews with the Manager of Inflight and/or the Rockford Base Coordinator. Best of luck!

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ryan International Airlines (Rockford, IL) in Apr 2010
Interview
They send you an invitation to attend the open house via e-mail with specific instructions, then they give you a detailed presentation about the company and the job. Afterwards everyone there is giving a chance to schedule an one-one interview with a panel. They ask you different customer service questions such as tell me about a difficult customer service situation you encountered and how you dealt with it, what your weaknesses and strengths are, why you want to work here.
