Prompt interview response and scheduling but they left me under the impression I had received the position just to never reach out to me again. When I reached out, they got back to me right away that I didn’t get the job.

Why I was interested in working in media/relations.
We never leave "impressions" about hiring for interns or anyone else. When we make offers, they are in writing. As for the process, it's always okay to check back in with us throughout the process as this candidate did.
