I applied online. I interviewed at Royal Caribbean Group (Miami, FL) in Jan 2016
Interview
The interview process is very slow and too long. The HR Department is not friendly or fair. They don't treat people fairly. They need to improve their processes and procedures.
An RC recruiter reached out about a month after I applied about a different position. Had a great interview with the recruiter followed by another great interview with the Hiring Manager. He mentioned that I was going to be meeting with one or more teammates as a final round. It really seemed like a perfect fit as I had been in the industry many years in very similar roles.
However, then I didn't hear back for weeks until I finally received an automated rejection email. I was hoping to understand better the reason, but I didn't receive any feedback, despite emailing the recruiter.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Royal Caribbean Group
Interview
3 rounds of interviews: Director, VP, team. Easy and straightforward. Everyone was cordial, friendly and knowledgable. Questions centered around experience and how if hired could I benefit Royal Caribbean Group
Declined offer due to 4 days in office and lower than expected base pay

Question 1
What is one thing you would being to help Royal Caribbean grown their customer base
The recruiter I worked with was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, after multiple interviews, one of my conversations was cancelled abruptly and I was informed another candidate had been selected. The interruption of the process was surprising since feedback from previous interviews was positive. While I understand the organization needs to hire the best fit for the role, this was the first time I experienced this kind of poor and confusing candidate experience.
