I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was very unprofessional overall, the personnel was very unorganized and expressed uncertainty about this position. Also continuously talking about miscommunication from corporate. They kept repeating how speed was vital and made it clear this position will not pay a cent over $15.00. Interview questions were at times confusing, they asked questions about what 'A' means in your life? But they are looking for responses that correspond to a work environment versus your life. Overall gave off a very stressful impression of a hectic work environment. After reflecting upon what the personnel said during the interview, it made me realize this position was not for me.
Very lowkey. They asked basic interview questions. They just wanted to know availability for work and if you’re available during their most busy hours. Nothing super professional, but they want to make sure you’re going to actually come into work.
it was very pleasant and they will almost always hire you if you are a tolerable person who can work hard and well with others. It would be strange to not hear back from them within a week due to how much demand they usually have for employees.
When arriving, they do accommodate you to sit in the break room while waiting on an interview, which is great because you’re not standing around the store looking crazy. When you get in the back and we’ll meet with the Store Manager or an assistant manager short it seems rushed like they genuinely didn’t have time set aside for interviews. They were trying to move along candidates.
