I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Phila, PA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Interview process was about 30 minutes from start to finish just basic questions nothing out of the ordinary very straight to the point the introduction however was a bit much but other than that it was like the person that interviewed me just started because he did not have many questions. It was like being on an interview for school it was almost like he was reading off a script he really didn’t seem comfortable interviewing me I knew from the start I would not get called back I usually can tell
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, what are your hobbies do you have any children what is your availability what would you do if you saw an employee stealing what would you do in an emergency how well do you work under pressure
It took about a half hour to an hour. They have an assistant manager or store manager interview you and tell you about the job and company. They ask what position you want if you’re on the retail side because there’s several areas to work in.
It was super smooth. Everyone took the time to. Inform you what to expect and they were super nice. At the end they made sure all questions were answered .

Question 1
What did you do in your last job that will help with this job you applied for?
I applied online. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Snellville, GA) in May 2024
Interview
I received a call, The person spoke quickly and I did not understand where they were calling from, when I requested they repeat the question, she said "it sounds like you don't know what job you applied for. " When she actually repeated "Ross" I said "oh yes, I just applied for it on Friday" She asked "how much do you want per hour", I asked the range and she said it starts at $14.50 (area supervisor) so I said I would think something closer to $20. The lady said "ok" and hung up, There was no good bye, or follow up, just a click of the phone.
When I was applying for the role, there was no salary range, and there was a 35 minute "test" on scheduling and a personality test.
