I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Derby, England) in Nov 2017

      Interview

Applied online, process took 2 months. Received an online test which was somewhat easy if your prepared well for it. After that I was invited to one of their assessment centers in Derby (UK). It was a really chilled out experience overall. I had to do one 5 minute long presentation about myself and an hour of competency based Q&A, A 10 minute long presentation about the company and an hour long technical Q&A about the company and the position. And than there was a team building activity which was also chilled out.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General competency based questions and than a lot of technical questions about the position.

      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce

      Interview

Interview process takes the whole day, technical interview involves knowledge about a jet engine, including physics behind pressure and temperature ie pv=nrt. You are given a piece of a jet engine and have to say what it is and how it could have been made. Also a tip is to get other information thats not just on the rolls royce website about materials and such. Then you have to redo one of the online tests, no real problems. Lunch next where you have the opportunity to talk to the assessors, its a good time to find out more about rolls royce, what its like to be an employee etc. Now the team exercise, you're probably going to have to make a bridge/tower out of paper, cups in a set budget. Make sure you read all the instructions fully and if you can try and be time keeper and voice your opinions and raise questions. For me the last part of the day was the personal interview, make sure you know your presentation off by heart so you're not constantly referring to notes. Be ready to have example's of when you've work in a team, met goals, worked with other people who work differently to you. Throughout the whole day be energetic, talk to everyone, ask questions and look smart for the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

When have you worked with someone who has a different working style to you? And how did you adapt to this?
