      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Roland Berger (Paris) in Nov 2022

      Interview

      I interviewed at Roland Berger

      Interview

It was very through: a GMAT and basic Finance question test. Then 2 case interviews and followed up by an offer. The case interview were with an analyst and then with a senior partner. Everything was virtual and people were very willing to help.

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Roland Berger (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Sept 2020

      Interview

Super rude recruiters, very unprofessional, called late, didn't apologize for it. The assessment was redundant and totally unrelated to the job description. Refused to also give a salary indication for an internship unless you pass the last round.

We are sorry about how you perceived your recruiting experience with us. As what you describe is different from our standards and of how we envision our recruiting process, we proceeded to investigate what happened and we have the following observations. Firstly, indeed, we only discuss the financial offer at the end of the recruiting round. Secondly, with strive for punctuality but we are aware that delays might happen, especially with the adaptations we made to continue our recruiting process in the pandemic context – our colleagues apologize when it happens and we would like to apologize on their behalf, if they failed to do so. Thirdly and lastly, our recruiting process mirrors the consulting roles that candidates are expected to perform once they are offered a job and they decide to join us. As we see it, consulting might seem as a tough, but it is a wonderful, fair and very rewarding career choice. The questions and case studies we use in the interviewing rounds are derived from real life situations we encounter as consultants, working for top clients around the world, supporting them to make the optimum strategic decisions in such a complex world. We encourage you to continue to learn about consulting and then decide if this is the career you would like to pursue. If you feel that even after reading this, you still have questions – we encourage you to contact us and address all open issues. -Roland Berger HR Team Romania-
