Interview
Applied to Roku January 2020. I had a recruiter phone screening, and then a call with the hiring manager a few days later. I was had 3-4 in person interviews in the NYC office despite the role being located in LA. I was then ghosted after the in-person interviews, I contacted my initial recruiter and received no response. I then found out my recruiter was a contract employee and had a new recruiter as a contact. They finally reached out to be apologizing for the lack of communication and long wait to hear back. I was assured that he would reach back out and when he didn't I sent another follow up and apology and never heard back from them again,

Interview
4 rounds - recruiter, hiring manager, case study, and panel interviews onsite. Heavy emphasis on behavioral and technical competency. Seem to value good ability to explain yourself and thought process
I applied online. I interviewed at Roku in Jun 2024
Interview
Phone Screen followed by a conversation with the hiring manager and then a modeling assessment, which took approximately 2 hours to complete. After the modeling assessment, spoke to the Director/VP of the org who asked more technical case questions. His questions were quite confusing, and were industry-specific so was set up for failure from the beginning coming from a vastly different industry. Other than that, the process was standard.
