Had a phone interview with a recruiter for an HR position that went well for the most part. However, the recruiter asked me the same question twice because he couldn't remember asking it the first time which was odd. Then he said he would get back to me about next steps and never did. It should be a formal part of any interview process that the recruiter responds back one way or another, even if it's to say the candidate is not moving on to the next round. After taking the time out of my work day to complete the interview, it's disrespectful to not follow up at all and just ghost a candidate.
