Interview
The administration at RVC asks that interested parties complete an on-line application which included past employers, educational status and references. That application would then be forwarded to the appropriate parties. If interested the appropriate parties would then contact the individual for an interview. At the time there was no over the phone interviewing. During the interviewing process one was expected to dress as a professional, arrive on time and be prepared to answer questions including: Tell me about yourself. How many years have you been teaching XY or Z? Have you ever taught college aged and/or adult students?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions centered around ones knowledge of the subject and teaching experience and qualifications. The most unexpected question was related to the subject that was being taught. The supervisor wanted and example as how I would explain a difficult concept to a student.

Interview
Initial phone interview with the Dean of the Department. Very friendly and questions were based off of my expectations, background and career goals. He stressed that funding had to be secured prior to the position being filled. Second interview was 1 on 1, also with the Dean, but I quickly realized that I was hired on site when I was given the course materials and a tutorial on how to access online resources.
