I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood
Interview
Had an initial live troubleshooting interview that covered determining what was wrong, and then a short programming exercise to live fix one of the issues.
That was followed up with an half day interview with 3 different team members (included a break) which consisted of the following:
- An architecture design problem
- Another live troubleshooting session,
- A deep dive on a past project

Question 1
- Troubleshoot what's wrong with a live system and code a fix for it
- Walk through how you would design a system that does X, pointing out pros and cons for various options and your reasons for choosing one solution vs another
The interview process was very much in line with most FAANG companies. Started with a quick screen call, followed by a technical round debugging in a linux terminal. From there, we moved to an "on-site" interview which consisted of 3 hour long interviews, one around coding, one around system design and one showing off a previous project.
