      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      4 Jul 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Robin Powered in Apr 2024

      Interview

The first impression was very good, HR contacted me with a PDF of the company values and the process itself, and then we had a quick conversation where we discussed all the details. The process is as follows: HR call, conversation with hiring manager, meeting with the team for 2h+. The second round involved the engineering manager and solutions architect. It was a purely technical conversation about my experience, AWS, DevOps, problem solving as a solutions architect (apparently to test my SA background). I didn't really enjoy this session as the interviewers didn't seem to be very interested in the process. On questions where there was not a single correct option, we didn't have a chance to discuss the solution. It was a one sided interview. I ended up getting rejected without any feedback and the role was closed. I had to go directly to EM for feedback. I ended up getting a detailed feedback, so thanks Igor.
