I received a call regarding an analyst role in my area. I called the recruiter back, and she asked that we setup a 10 minute interview the following day. When she called, right out of the gate started to question my interest in the company. I started my career in a different industry and she quickly made that the topic of our conversation. We went through my resume, and I answered a few questions. At no point was I told anything about the role or what the day to day would be- it was simply a stream of one way questions. She then told me that the role required relocation 3 years from now, I said I didn't see anything about relocation in the job description, but I would be open to it. She questioned whether I was really serious. I finally told her after being interrogated that I didn't want to move forward in the process. Since I live close by to their headquarters, I figured she would offer to keep open dialogue regarding future opportunities that may arise- but all she said was thanks for your time and good luck and hung up. I was very excited to interview with this company, and excited about the opportunity, but after speaking with the recruiter don't have a very good impression.
Direi molto nella norma, domande solite, ci hanno solo messo tanto tempo a darmi una risposta quando io avevo già trovato altro. Però non posso dare commenti troppo negativi, manager simpatico.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Robert Bosch in May 2023
Interview
During the interview, there were two people present, but they seemed unfamiliar with the position I had applied for. Whenever I asked about the planned responsibilities and requirements, they said that they did not know and that it was a new position. They did not even explain why the position was needed at the company. It appeared as though they were conducting a labour market analysis rather than a genuine interview with candidates. They later asked me about the most challenging aspect of the job. I had to explain my perception of the role and its requirements, but they were unable to provide any feedback, whether I was right or wrong, even though I asked them. Furthermore, one of the interviewers did not turn on their camera, leaving me unsure about who I was speaking to, despite the interview lasting more than 45 minutes.
Recruiter was rude and tried her hardest to screen me out just because I was applying to a job in a different state. Why even interview me if you're not even going to consider me for the position? Ridiculous to waste my time like that, and left a bad taste in my mouth about this company.
