I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at River Island (Manchester, England) in Sept 2018
Interview
Was a relatively casual group interview where we introduced ourselves and answered questions in teams. There were roughly 20 people in my interview. I was advised by my friend who works there to dress fashionably and try to represent the brand.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
In your group go onto the shop floor and choose an outfit for either a man or a woman within a given budget and for a certain event which was also given. Then asked to explain our choices when we returned after 20 minutes.
I applied online. I interviewed at River Island (Birmingham, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
Group interview of around 15. First task was saying your name a bit about you out loud, just general information it seems like name age what you do. Then the second task was writing down good customer service and bad customer service in your little group and reading it out to the group. During this, they are checking to see what you say, but try not to talk over anyone but definitely stand out. The second task was getting clothes from the shop floor presenting your outfit and explaining your choice. I don’t believe they cared too much about your previous experience but rather your personality.
