I applied for one role and was contacted to ask whether I would consider interviewing for a lower position instead.
Had a nice experience communicating with the recruiting team. They were very prompt, helpful and made me feel like a part of the process.
I had an initial screening call with a team member, which went well and was a fairly natural conversation. After this, I was passed along to a second call with a manager after the studio returned from holiday.
The 2nd call was one of the most unusual interviews I've participated in. The woman interviewing me would fire off a question asked in the most rude and aggressive way possible and then I would think for a moment to provide a thoughtful answer.
After I would answer, I would just get another question interrogating me as to why I would have the nerve to answer the way I did.
I don't understand this style of interviewing at all. Perhaps one wants to decinstruct the candidate's thought process, but this isn't the way to go about it. It is needlessly antagonistic and frankly, insulting to be treated this disrespectfully during the first time ever talking to someone in order to begin becoming acquainted.
