      Vice President Sales Interview

      26 Dec 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at RigUp in Oct 2020

      Interview

Somewhat standard as for the process, however, very strange once research and personalities were included. They've been dubbed a $300M start up unicorn for HR technology. But they aren't really a HR tech company. They're a recruitment outfit that's using their own CRM/ERP. They literally have more in common with Manpower or Robert Half than an actual tech company. Throw in the fact they've dubbed a bunch of 30-somethings with consultant-only backgrounds as Managing Directors to run the whole outfit is also just really strange. Oh, and they are paying MOUNTAINS OF MONEY to VP levels and up. I'm sorry but between having a Texas HQ, loads of debt, odd leadership with absurd compensation and a skyrocketing value with minimal validity - this wreaks of Enron 2.0.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There was literally no basis of any "deep" questions as the person conducting the interview (Managing Director) didn't have the business acumen or experience to do so. It was just really really strange.
