I applied online. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
--- I applied online and received an email about them being interested and they asked me to an online assessment. I complete the assessment and got a phone interview. They later sent me and email asking for more information. A couple days later they sent me a denied email from their automated system.
--- They are a couple of red flags I've notice with this process. They sent me an email to do a assessment without tell me which position it was for. It was a red flag because I applied for three different positions. I did the assessment but it did not have anything to do with my position for which I applied.
--- We did a phone interview that lasted for 10 mins with them asking for generic information which was the second red flag since it has nothing to do with the position.
--- The largest suspect thing they did was send me and email asking for information on my parents such where do they live, where do they work. The same questions about my spouse and where she lives and works and where does her parents live and work.
--- I would stay away from this company, the interview process is long and convoluted. They ask for way too much personal information. Their former CEO was charged in a 2 billion dollar tax fraud case by the Feds. It all seems like a way to gather as much information from their applicants to sell or make money off of them but that is just speculation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked very generic questions in the phone interview like strengths and weaknesses. Do I plan on getting a master's degree and what is my five year plan. The post interview questions include where my parents worked and where my spouse worked and her parents worked. What car I drove and what are the car payments. They asked me information about military service and if I worked at any other companies they list. They also asked about my previous addresses. They also asked what is your expected salary

Interview
I took the online personality/aptitude test and received an invitation to a phone interview. The recruiter was nice and explained the next steps to me, telling me that the next step was for the director to review me. Later, I received an email telling me I was not chosen to continue in the process.
