The process took two weeks. I applied online and was then approached via LinkedIn Messenger to set up a call. Had an initial phone call with the internal recruiter for 30 minutes, then was given a task to do at home which involved building a presentation and writing two blog posts.
The call was mainly questions about my experience. The recruiter was really friendly and sounded really keen on my experience and what I could bring to the business. Three days later, late in the evening, I was sent the home task and given a five day turnaround. The task was quite large for a first interview stage, and the deadline short considering I'm working full time at the moment, but I liked the challenge.
The task itself took some to do as it was quite broad, and part of it was to outline your overall strategy for the blog once you joined. That in itself is a huge task! I completed it on time as requested and sent over (this was a Tuesday).
I didn't hear back at all so chased at the end of the week to see if the work was received. I had a reply Friday saying the work was being reviewed and that I'd hear back that day. A couple of hours later, I was informed I would not go through to the next round. No feedback. I asked for feedback, as that was a lot of time spent to not even get a look in to the hiring manager! It's been a few weeks and I'm still waiting.....
