I applied online and I got a call back quite quick, I a had a group interview with 3 other people where we were introduced to the company and had to do some tasks

The interview process at Retailors (Nike Canada) was thorough, lasting 5rounds in total. The first five rounds were honestly a great experience — the hiring manager, HR, and other team members were all kind, communicative, and made me feel valued and seen throughout. However, the final round with the CEO was unfortunately a stark contrast. The energy during this meeting felt tense and unwelcoming right from the start. Rather than engaging in a collaborative or curious dialogue, the CEO came across as combative and dismissive, as if the decision had already been made before the conversation even started. I walked away feeling like the CEO wasn’t looking to add a strong team player, but rather to assert dominance — which created an uncomfortable power dynamic. It was difficult not to feel that there was an undertone of bias during this interaction. As a person of color, I sensed that my words were not being received with the same openness or fairness as they might have been from someone else. Outcome: I was told post-interview that they were seeking a “more senior profile” — despite the fact that the rest of the team had already expressed positive feedback and alignment with my background. This vague reasoning felt like a cop-out, especially after such a long and well-aligned process. Final thoughts: If you’re applying here, be prepared because they abandon you after interview process without acknowledgement. Also do look for other review you will see the similarities. good luck
