I applied online and was contacted very quickly by a recruiter. The recruiter was very friendly and professional throughout the entire process. The interview process contained four total interviews. The first being the recruiter screen, the second being the hiring manager screen, followed by two separate panel interviews. This ends up being a very exhausting and drawn out process due to so many interviews containing so many people.
The first three interviews went just fine. For the third panel interview, one of the interviewers seemed to have a problem with me and seemed to want to somehow use my cv and words against to somehow prove I was lying about my experience and very aggressively called me out on several items in a 'gotcha' type style. IT can often be very competitive and the only thing that makes sense is this person somehow felt threatened by me. It was very unprofessional in that it put me in very akward position that I had to defend myself from some pretty crazy statements, which of course I did, but the interview was soured. This should have never been allowed to happen. It made me realize that I would not accept a position with the company if this is how the interviewers were allowed to treat their prospective employees. Mind you I interviewed at three total companies recently and was offered positions at the other two.
