I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rental Beast in May 2021
Interview
Initial steps in the interview were great. The Director reached out rather quickly for an interview. That was followed by a meeting with the team the following week. Everyone was professional and easy to talk to. I was feeling super confident and expecting to hear back rather quickly.
There was then a 2 week break when I did not hear anything. I got an email saying the Director had to step out for a week hence the delay and I should be hearing back the following week. I was still super excited and confident. Almost another 2 weeks passed and I finally received a rejection email.
I wish the process would have ended as strong as it started. I understand "start-up" culture, but this is a really though time for people to find jobs, especially in marketing, so not hearing back for weeks on end really hits your confidence.
Phone screen, then in person interview. Questions about 5-year career plan, salary requirement, past experience, etc. Interviewer was initially very friendly and helpful, answered all questions and gave detailed explanations about the company and the job. However after the interview, they basically ghosted me despite my asking about update.

First, contact by indeed recruiter. Then schedule a phone interview with the VP of technology. Most behaviors questions, talk about your experience..
Second phone interview with one of the software engineers.
Then I follow up recruiter, he told me that I pass the second round interviews in the morning when he asks that VP more detail about next step. Unfortunately, I receiver an email on the afternoon that VP find a closer fitted candidate.
Feel upset half day, how??? Spent a lot of time preparing interview...
