I applied online. I interviewed at Relevance AI (Sydney) in Feb 2026
Interview
Useless company. Positive first round with the female recruiter. Second round with the male sales manager went well and I got rejected 2 days later. The reason? 'You didn't work at a startup' - lie number 1. I worked at 2 startups for a combined 3 years.
Reason number two: 'you're not technical enough' - I used to work at the global leader in data protection (US$5 billion ARR), overachieving for 5 years in a row. I also built a sales agent in the Relevance AI platform. The only Sydney AE came from a SMB role lol.
Don't waste your time with these lying, gaslighting people. The founders were 23 when they formed the company and don't have a single sales bone in their body.

Interview
it was great! The recruiter was informative, dynamic and wanted to learn more about me. She explained the role and also told me about the company which made me even more excited about the role.

Question 1
My sales experience and results. How my success was measured.

Interview
Exceptionally disorganized. I read the last interview submission on here and was relieved to see I wasn't the only who felt the same.
5 week process. My main point of contact changed three different times within that time frame. Communication and transparency during the process were both exceptionally poor. This is aside from the fact that they have HQ in Syndey still so all interviews and communications will be in late evening hours.
The interviews felt like they were completely out of order with no structure in the overall process. Questions I was asked in interview 4 felt like I had already answered several times over in previous interviews. They scheduled interview 4 with someone I had already interviewed with and when they realized the mistake they rescheduled it and switched it to someone else (who knew nothing about the sales department). It felt like they hadn't decided who was spearheading decision making in the hiring process and felt like being constantly bounced around, strung along, and rescheduled. It was clear they were fumbling through the process the entire time and were undoubtedly winging it. I expect a small degree of disorganization with this young of a company and was willing to excuse it to a degree at first, but it got to a level where it felt my time and effort in the process were both completely disregarded.
For example, there were several times I was told to expect a call on a specific evening to discuss next steps - just to be ghosted (note the aforementioned evening hours - I would be waiting all night by the phone and canceled several plans to be available for these calls).
8 days ago was the last time I heard from anyone saying I should expect a call from the CEO to discuss next steps. I have still not heard from anyone or received an offer or been told I'm being eliminated from the process. So, I still have no idea where I stand (aside from the fact that I am 100% checked out of the process and would never accept an offer here). Save your time and look elsewhere.
