Interview
I applied through LinkedIn and was contacted by the CEO within a couple days. The interview was simply a conversation about my experience as well as an introduction to the company.

Interview
The "CEO" tells you everything you need to know about this venture, so you're well-informed as to the incompetence.
I was asked to interview via Google Meet for a software dev position. This was a project offering equity only. I met with the CEO, and he went on about how life is short—and really nothing of substance company-wise. I listened and was ready to ask questions regarding the company, but instead, he sent me another "interview" invite for the next day along with a non-disclosure agreement. He canceled last minute, saying he had to go to "his family's cottage."
He then scheduled a third interview and canceled again, telling me they had decided to pursue other candidates. This was right after I sent him pertinent business-related questions he had claimed he would answer—questions about the equity grant, vesting terms, and company structure. None were answered. As I said, this "CEO" comes across as inexperienced and naive at best.
This review is to save those with genuine skills from wasting their time on a project that wants to be the next best thing but lacks the maturity to get there.
When an experienced developer offers to work with you and help build your product for basically free, maybe listen, answer questions, and be a leader. Don’t waste time. Isn't that your mantra? :)

Question 1
Nothing, the guy talked about life is short and how he wanted to make it as a company. Joke.
Startups are not for everyone. We have a great core team that communicates really well together (tech and gtm) to build and launch a world class product. We wish you all the best.
