      Interview

The call with the recruiter was odd and I think he asked me a question that is normally prohibited. Rather than asking about my experiences, the recruiter had a "questionnaire" and just drilled me with questions with no context. When I asked for more clarity, he seems unhappy and kept cutting me off. Example: 1. The recruiter kept asking me if I have "hands on experiences". I am not what this entails - experiences in policy development, tooling implementation, etc? 2. I asked if the hiring manager have seen my resume or if the recruiter know what are the things this role must have (e.g. Devops, coding, etc.), he seemed unhappy and said something along the line of "this is why I AM asking you question". On the "prohibited" question - he asked me: "Are you a US citizen"? I have never been asked this questions for ANY jobs I have applied in the last few decades. I believe an employer is not supposed to ask this question, unless this is a government-related position.
