I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at RedShelf (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2018
Interview
I first applied online. Then after about 2 days I got an email to schedule a 15-minute conversation with the recruiter about the position and my experience. After a few hours I got the tasks for frontend and backend:
- one involving three simple tasks in ember
- the other was a python script that would parse a csv with purchases and place them in the bucket that is the best fit
After I submitted the solution, It took about a few hours for them to review it so I got feedback the same day. I had a wrong output but I got two chances to actually improve the script and so I got a chance to go to the next step of the interview process!
The next step was an onsite meeting at their headquarters with the director for an hour and the team for half an hour. The people there are very welcoming and the passion they share for the product is inspiring. Although I did not get an offer I have to say the interview experience was very pleasant.
