There were several rounds of interviews and one was three hours long, which is WAY too long for interviews — especially when you also have a full-time job. The interviews were pretty easy in general, they just took way too long in my opinion.
I had a phone screening and a Zoom interview and an editing test. Received an auto-rejection six weeks later. Did not get any feedback despite being asked for essentially free work.
I looked up people in the position and I have more direct industry experience than they did, so no idea why my ‘skills and experience’ wasn’t a fit. They hired mostly freelancers and others who would be ‘grateful’ for the job, I guess. Had more industry experience than the person interviewing me. Maybe I should just start my own competing website and call it a day.
