      Regional Outreach Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ReKlame Health (New York, NY) in Oct 2025

      Interview

Disconnect between stated mission and interview experience I was truly excited to interview for a role focused on expanding access to behavioral health care for underserved communities. Unfortunately, the interview experience raised concerns about how authentically those values are practiced internally. The interview began late and included personal multitasking in a way that felt unprofessional. Combined with multiple overlapping, rapid questions, the process felt chaotic and rushed. It didn’t feel like an accurate reflection of my abilities, but rather a breakdown in how the interview was structured. Candidates are required to complete a substantial unpaid case study (15–20 hours) that directly aligns with the organization’s strategic growth goals. There was no feedback, acknowledgment, or closure afterward — even when I followed up with additional strategic insight. This felt exploitative and unethical, especially for a company centered on trauma-informed and community-focused care. Leadership was frequently referenced as the primary voice for articulating mission and vision, but was unavailable to participate in the process. Without insight into decision-making leadership, it was difficult to assess whether the operational priorities align with the values advertised. Based on the discussions, I left with the impression that the role is primarily sales-driven — focused on referral volume and intake numbers — rather than on sustainable community partnerships, identity-affirming care, and continuity of support. The mismatch between the stated mission and the priorities communicated in the interview was significant. Pros: • Mission addresses a real need • Opportunity to drive meaningful impact if internal alignment improves Cons: • Disorganized interview environment • Extensive unpaid labor required • No follow-up or acknowledgment post-deliverable • Conversation heavily focused on numbers over care • Lack of leadership visibility during hiring • Practices did not feel aligned with stated values

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Take-home Case Study Scenario: “ReKlame Health’s goal is to establish partnerships with 10 community organizations and healthcare providers within the next 6 months. The partnerships should address disparities in behavioral health access while aligning with ReKlame Health’s operational priorities.” Key Areas to Address Identify Channels: Determine the most promising channel(s) for partnerships. Explain why these channels are optimal, factoring in market trends, partnership potential, and cost-effectiveness. Create a Detailed Strategy: Develop a comprehensive, step-by-step plan to establish and grow these partnerships. Include critical actions that balance short-term wins and long-term sustainability. Define Timelines and Milestones: Present a roadmap with clear phases and timelines for execution. Establish Metrics for Success: Specify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, to evaluate progress toward the goal. Problem-Solving and Adaptation: Consider potential challenges (e.g., resource limitations, high competition) and propose innovative solutions to overcome them. Deliverable Requirements Presentation Present your strategic plan for partnership growth in a concise yet impactful format. Highlight key insights, milestones, and actionable recommendations focused on building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships. Elevator Pitch: Be prepared to verbally deliver your elevator pitch during the interview. The pitch should address the following: Value Proposition: Clearly articulate what makes ReKlame Health unique and attractive as a partner, including its clinician-led model, focus on underserved communities, and holistic care offerings. Partnership Benefits: Explain the tangible value and benefits of partnering with ReKlame Health, emphasizing how the partnership can help the prospective partner achieve their goals while expanding access to care for their community.
