I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Raven Defense (Albuquerque, NM) in Jun 2024
Interview
I applied and came in for an interview the same week. Interviewed with current employees who would have been my peers. Took about an hour it was a good conversation and they gave me a tour of the facility. I received an offer within 1 week after interviewing except it was for a lower position than what I interviewed for and also substantially lower pay. Seems like they are trying to hire people for cheap since they didn’t entertain negotiating at all. This is a young company that I would avoid if possible.

Interview
Panel interview, usually 1-3 people. They'll ask you some questions about your experience on your resume, then go into why Raven is such a great place to work. Usually, they're trying to sell themselves to interviewees instead of letting interviewees sell themselves. The COO won't usually let you get a word in edgewise, so don't be afraid to interrupt him on the tour to ask questions. The CEO doesn't say much during interviews and expects you to show an interest and ask lots of questions.
Protips: they like to hear a lot of technical jargon, especially as it pertains to satellite communications and RF technology. Laugh at their jokes and treat them like they're doing something no one else. They're overly proud of their technology, so be sure to ask lots of questions about it and show an interest in hardware when they take you on a tour. Be sure to tell them how brilliant their tech is and how cool their facility looks.
