Randy Witt Productions interview questions

The owner introduced himself and talked about his company for several minutes. I was asked to talk a little about myself. He asked a few basic personal questions, nothing technical and not much of it related directly to post-production experience. Then he asked me to make some simple edits to a video in Final Cut Pro 7. I made them as quickly and accurately as possible for my experience level at the time. He seemed satisfied and we discussed pay and hours. He hired me on the spot. At the time, his previous editor had just left to pursue his dream job and the owner had not yet begun a thorough search for a replacement. I had been fortunate to meet the owner's son on an unrelated production and he introduced me to the open position. I was likely the only applicant to the job because of this scenario.
