The first interview was easy, and the interviewer asked to forward my profile to the hiring manager. The interviewer insisted that I submit my documents via LinkedIn messages until he finally gave me his email address.
After being ghosted, it turned out that the interviewer had left the firm, and I was forwarded to their supervisor.
I asked to have my data deleted, but they refused in writing, after which they stopped answering my emails.
Once I finally reached the general front desk number, I got a confirmation that these individuals are both employed by Randstadt, but that data privacy is not of interest to the front desk. I was asked to email their data security department, but after months and repeated reminders, no answer.
I reached out to the government data privacy department, and they confirmed that the written refusal to delete my data is illegal. The government can trigger a generic audit, but for me to get a confirmation of having my personal data deleted, the only action is to take Randstadt to civil court.
Be careful when considering sharing all your data and documents!
