      I interviewed at Randle Siddeley

      Interview

I applied on LinkedIn and was invited to interview. I was out of the country at the time the email came and told the hiring manager this. After reflecting given the very challenging job market, I decided to cancel a day trip I had out with friends to do the interview. Unfortunately there were some connectivity issues on teams, she could see me but could not hear me and despite issuing another link and calling to see I had received the link teams did not work. The interview could have at that point gone one on the phone call but instead I got quite a Kurt email from the HR manager saying she had other people to interview and it may be that she could not wait for my return. That I get. What I did not get was we could have spoken on the phone however I was left feeling it was not about that we could not effectively communicate but did this have anything to do with the way I looked? I had smart shirt dress on, always come on my interviews quite professionally. Needless to say she did not follow up or offer to reschedule when was back. I was open about my commitments and availability this was not respected. Companies need to start respecting candidates time and efforts!
