It seemed to me that the hiring manager came to the interview without reading my resume beforehand and the role he/she described was significantly different from the job posting.
Later, I found out that the role was filled by an internal colleague, which made me believe that the whole hiring/interview process was just a matter of formality.
I think every candidate's time and effort should be respected.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ralph Lauren in May 2020
Interview
4 Rounds of interviews which were all very casual and direct. First I spoke with the Area Manager via phone. Few days later I spoke with a General Manager of a different location. A few days after that I met with the Area Manager face to face briefly. Lastly I met with the Regional Director via FaceTime. All 3 interviewees were genuine, insightful, high energy, and positive. All around the process took about 4 weeks, mainly due to HQ effects from the pandemic.
All around a great and unique experience.
