I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rackspace Technology (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2012
Interview
Three rounds of phone screens (HR, hiring manager, technical screen) followed by on-site interview with three separate panels (one by video conference). The company values teamwork, and it shows during the interview -- all of the employees were prepared with canned questions, but that didn't stop them from bouncing ideas off each other to screen me effectively.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rackspace Technology in Jul 2015
Interview
My initial contact with Rackspace was over email where we set up a time for technical pre-screening interview. The time of the interview arrived but the recruiter called me later than she said she would. I was very impressed with the systematized interview questions, arranged into beginner, intermediate and advanced. If I didn't know the answer, the interviewer gave me the answer (which I thought was really considerate as that's a common post-interview questions "what was the answer to that question?"). At the end, she told me I had done better than expected.
An interview with the hiring manager was arranged but ultimately fell through when I told them I wanted to work remotely.

Question 1
Development team person explained his whole project and asked me to explain how to test their application manually and then how I will automate testing using automation tools. Architect team followed interview and put more code related questions, like doing code review by giving a function and asked what is wrong and to correct it.
