I applied online and received a phone call from a manager about two weeks. He asked me a few questions:
• Do you have an engineering degree?
• Why do you want this job?
• What's your favorite class?
• Do you have any hand-on experience such as work on your car?
Then he said he'd like to do an in-person interview. A week later HR manager called me to schedule an in-person interview and emailed me the instructions for flight/hotel/rental car and required document. They pay for all travel expenses and reimburse for food (with a limit).
Before the interview, you have to check in with their security team. They'll verify your proof of citizenship and take fingerprints. Then you're sit with the group of candidates that are interviewing that day until your names a called.
The interview was informal. I was interviewed by two managers. They asked how I liked Tucson and went on to talked about my resume. They then asked me if I have any questions.
I received a rejection email within 24 hours. The overall process was within a month.
