Interview
I applied online and was invited for an interview at Roller. The first round was with the HR who asked about my background and then gave a quick intro about Roller. He then started asking a few basic technical questions which were passed on to him by the engineering team. There was no mention of this in the interview invite, so I came unprepared for anything technical. But to make things worse, the HR had no idea about the questions being asked and he had a poker face to my answers which made it quiet confusing for me. They were also using AI to transcribe my answers and pass it on to the engineering team. Very weird process and I felt like it was a waste of my time! Received a standard rejection email 3 days after the interview. I felt like they were trying to reject candidates instead of trying to hire. I am leaving this review about 6 months after the interview, but the role that I applied for is still open. Makes me wonder if they couldn't find a suitable candidate in 6 months, that too in a weak labor market.
