It was quite relaxed with questions being asked to determine if there indeed was a good fit between my experience and the open project. It seemed like they had already made a decision.

Short phone interview with researcher, more of them explaining the projects than asking typical interview questions. You interview on the phone with researchers that match with you based on your resume once you get past initial screening.
