      Executive Assistant Interview

      21 Jan 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at R1 RCM in Nov 2020

      Interview

Do not waste your time! After reading the reviews, I wish I would've come here first. They will have you go on 5+ interviews, tell you you're a great fit and they have received positive feedback then radio silence. It has been the most strange experience and a complete waste of my time. It is extremely inconsiderate and I'm truly unsure if they are actually hiring. The recruiter will email you back, make you feel like she will be in communication, give you updates about vacations etc, and then go ghost. I started interviewing for the position in November and after 5 interviews was told they would make their decision in January. It's not 1/21/21 and nothing. Luckily for me, I eased some of my anxiety once I read the reviews on this site and got hired by a firm within 1 week. The contrast between the interviewing processes were astounding. And I am now working for a much larger/prestigious firm who is clearly better organized and not stringing people along. R1, do better. Candidates, RUN!

      Interview

Honestly a complete waste of time. I was approached by a hiring manager. She was spacey, unable to answer questions about the material description of the job and refused to disclose the pay range. This told me everything I needed to know about what it would be like to work there. I got to the final round and interviewed with two executives and then....crickets. I followed up and was told they would make a decision in January. I knew then I’d never hear from them again and they had no intention of moving forward and was suspected if the job even existed. Lo and behold I followed up to humor myself in February and was told what I already knew- there was no job. The “position was closed and would possibly be opened in another city.” I spent months researching, prepping and interviewing with countless people for them to jerk me and other candidates around. Why do they think this is acceptable behavior? Why approach candidates when you have no intention of filling a posted position? Do you have nothing better to do than waste your, your colleagues and the applicants’ time? The wasteful use of time and resources doesn’t bode well for their business acumen or general operations. It’s not as if I would have accepted an offer if it was given, it was made more than clear during the process this elusive “opportunity” wasn’t for me. I clearly am not alone in my assessment of their hiring practices. Complete and total waste from start to finish.
