I applied online. I interviewed at R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited (Mississauga, ON) in Jun 2016
Interview
I was selected for this interview in mid June 2016. It lasted approximately an hour and felt more like a conservation. I was interviewed by the Vice-President of Land Development and a Project Engineer. Both interviewers were very friendly and providing valuable insight about the company. I just wish the follow-up process had been quicker. I was told I would hear back within a week but I received an email on August 1st saying the role will not be filled due to organizational changes at the Mississauga office. I attempted to follow up via email several times but was told they were waiting on the hiring manager to make a decision.
You are given a firm deadline to complete a complex task by a client. Then, the client makes a huge last minute change in design and still expects you to meet the original deadline because they may lose money otherwise. You know that you cannot meet this deadline despite your efforts. What would you do?
