      Fierce Healthcare Writer/reporter Interview

      25 Feb 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Questex in Feb 2026

      Interview

My feedback here is less about the company (though that it condones this behavior is telling) and more about the interviewer. He didn't seem knowledgeable about the position (at all). He asked me just two questions — tell me about your background and how do you build sources. Afterward he raved about how he liked my answers and knew already that I was a good fit for this job and should be speaking with the hiring team. He said he would set up an interview with me with them the following week. This was on a Friday. Then on Sunday I get a form rejection. I sent him an email about how shocked I was, and he replied back saying that the job didn't align with my experience—he said I was too old. He also said all of his phone screens are that short, implying he's just so very smart and can understand people with just two questions. (My experience was in my resume, by the way). With his two questions, all anyone could verify was that I'm not a bot. I don't ever say this... but I can do his job better than him. Questex, if you see this, hit me up. I've got additional feedback.
